Sounds for this library were recorded over 5 sessions – in a private zoo and in the field, all in cooperation with professional birds trainers. Recording in the New Year’s Day morning became my every year ritual. It’s the quietest day in the whole year. It could be called The Sound Recordist Day. It’s not easy to wake up early this day, but always when I go outside and hear how quiet it is, I know it will pay off. Last years I was focusing on recording atmospheres of the empty city. Yesterday I have seen large flock of pigeons on a square i
