We have finished sound post for our WarGame movie recentyl – the story takes place in 1956, so we encountered similar problems with it. Fortunately most of the movie was shoot in private interiors, resulting in greater control of sound pollution.

I think they have also a better high end in my opinion. I’m looking for new c-mics. I own the jrf ones and i like the sound but they’re too fragile. I killed 4 of them in the last months only be attaching them with a clamp to different objects. Somehow it gets a bit expensive to by new ones after every record session

I’m planning too to get pair of JrF contact mics soon. Heard great sounds recorded with them.
I recorded many great sounds with contact mic + shotgun. It gives big possibilities for designing.
Also contact mic + induction coil is interesting duo. On engines for example.
